Elden Ring introduces an area around its mid-game known as Caelid. What the Eclipse accomplishes is to create a portal into an alternate plane of existence in which the God Hand receives the inductee's sacrifices (in Griffith's case the sacrifice of his Band of the Hawk soldiers) and transforms them into a demonic entity. The unfortunate ones who are taken to this dimension are welcomed by a massive, bloody space inhabited by hellish creatures This is basically what I'd say about the Elden Ring players in Caelid.
